I am in the middle of finishing a Kenshi stick and a Smoke stick for two different clients. In the mean time, I took a bunch of existing art and turned them into sticks to polish my finishing process. I am still trying out different varnishing products. Testing things like how long it takes to dry. How much it smells. How much it costs. How many cans it takes. My gallery wall is almost complete. I plan on having a wall full of sticks with various themes. I might stop around 30. Five rows of six sticks. I am in the process of moving to a different house too so that is going to determine a lot regarding how I wanna do this.

So.... I have not made one beat this year. Okay that's a lie. I made one beat for a highlight reel of a high school basketball player but I don't count that one because I whipped it up in like 30 minutes. This is sad because my goal of producing 365 remixes looks next to impossible. but no worries...

I purposely have not been making beats because before I sit back down in front of the MPC, I want to study all the beats I have been collecting of the last 3 years. As you can see, I have around 2000 beats to go through. I am going to organize them and throw some away. And I might.... might.... upload the ones I pull out as the best of the best and share them with you few loyal followers.

I am extremely organized. So much so, that I do not let iTunes build my play lists. I manually create those collections in folders that way i can rebuild those playlists on any device. Be it my phone, my CPU or iPod. So far it's gonna look something like:

INST - Smoker (laid back shit)

INST - Bangers (hype fight music)

INST - Headnodders (basic boom bap chops)

Mortal Kombat Custom Arcade Sticks

Although these are functions sticks that work with the console they were built for, Xbox 360 or PS3 and soon Wii, these sticks are really more like artwork. The controller is just the medium or canvas I chose. I look at these more like paintings then electronic devices. I use them for fighting games and are intended more for displays than competition grade equipment. Sure you can take one of these to a tournament, but you might get hated on by jealous players who wish that had one. And you might hear "THAT'S HUGE." but in reality, it is really no bigger than the pro stuff you can buy from X-Arcade, Arcade In A Box or from Mad Catz.

I just enjoy making them.
